On the Feast of Corpus Christi (Vigil Saturday, June 5 and Sunday, June 6) the total offertory in every parish of the archdiocese is dedicated to the support of those studying for the priesthood. For 2021-22, over a million dollars is needed from this collection to support our seminarians studying for the priesthood. To achieve this goal, Cardinal DiNardo requests that you double the amount of your regular church support for the weekend of June 5-6. If we all come together in this effort, the needed subsidy will be met by this collection. In gratitude for the incomparable gift of the Holy Eucharist which is inseparably joined to the priesthood, please do your part to help the archdiocese provide priests for the sake of your future by praying daily for vocations and supporting this collection.

If you have made donations to the Diocesan Services Fund (DSF), please be advised that they are approximately 4-5 weeks behind in processing due to a staffing shortage. However, they are doing their best to catch up and apologize for any inconvenience.

Become a volunteer! Volunteers are an essential part of the SVDP. Through their work, commitment, and hope, we can undertake many forms of social action which benefit millions of people. Each of us has something special to contribute. The SVDP has a broad framework of action, in which you are sure to find something to suit you and where your contribution will be valuable.

Marriage Enrichment Once again, Worldwide Marriage Encounter will come to your home via a virtual, online presentation. This will be a special time to do something that can help make your marriage closer and happier. Couples will look at themselves, their behaviors and attitudes, and their relationship with their spouse and God. Communication tools are taught on the weekend, helping couples connect in healthy, constructive ways on areas that can deepen their intimacy and connectedness. This Weekend will help couples in good marriages to communicate even better and experience more joy. You will be able to participate from the comfort of your home by logging onto this virtual weekend. Plan now to be a part of this event.

Our annual homecoming bazaar is set for Sunday, September 26th. All parishioners are invited to donate to our raffle prizes. Once all the prizes are paid for, then the faster we can get our tickets printed and start selling them.

We are also inviting someone to step up as a “Chairperson for Volunteers,” this person will oversee helping to schedule volunteers and be a contact person for all volunteers. If you are interested, please speak with or contact Kathy Baldobino.

REMINDER: There will be no Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament next week. Adoration will resume on Wednesday, June 16th, following 8:30 a.m. Mass until 9:00 p.m. The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed again on Thursday, June 17th, following 8:30 a.m. Mass until 5:45 p.m.
